This is Ashley's 3rd European Cup gold in 2010 and sees him ranked number 1 in Europe at this level. Ashley and Theodore Spalding-McIntosh were selected to represent Great Britain at this European Cup. Nekoda Davis also fought: it was her debut at this level and she performed well.

It is amusing to note that had Willesden Judo Club been entered in the u23 Europeans as a delegation we would have placed 9th on the final medal table - above France and Poland and many other strong nations... Well done lads!

Ashley was selected to represent club and country at this very tough World Cup event. He won his fight against old adversary, Pions of Spain and then lost to Pessoa of Canada to get into the quarter final and so there ended his day.
